Travel Memoirs

Journey around the globe from the comfort of home

I am an avid reader and can consume heaps of books in one sitting. Every opportunity I get, whether its a few minutes sitting idle waiting for work or long hours spent curled in front of the heater, I am reading. I will read almost anything, but travel books and memoirs top my list. In fact, it is not unusual to find me reading and studying my National Geographic atlas! The following are just some of my favorite inspirational travel memoirs:

Bill Bryson's A Walk in the Woods

Stephen Clarke's A Year in the Merde

Elizabeth Gilbert's Eat Pray Love

Eric Weiner's The Geography of Bliss

Sneak peak for next week! Today my Fiance and I spent the evening exploring the Univeristy of Washington campus with an incredible photographer, Barbie Hull. She took lots of pictures and I can't wait to share them!
